There have been rumors of Sigourney Weaver’s possible appearance in the upcoming Star Wars film for a while now, but we now have complete confirmation that the beloved Alien actress will make her Star Wars debut alongside our favorite Mandalorian.

What We Know: There aren’t many concrete details for The Mandalorian & Grogu yet, but Weaver’s inclusion in the cast is a huge announcement. She confirmed to Deadline last week that she is currently working on the movie alongside Pedro Pascal and fan-favorite character, Zeb Orrelios. Zeb made his live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 3, Episode 5, and Rebels fans were extremely happy to see him.

Why We’re Excited: Even with so few details to go on right now, knowing that Sigourney Weaver will take part in a new Star Wars project is enough to renew our excitement about The Mandalorian & Grogu. Her career is proof of her chops in the science fiction arena, and there isn’t a Prequels kid among us who didn’t love her in Holes. Simply put, she’s an actor we are happy to see in any new film, and the fact that her latest project is in the Star Wars universe is just the cherry on top.

We're all fine here now — how are you? Who are you most excited to see on the big screen when The Mandalorian & Grogu premieres?

New Release - Star Wars: The High Republic: Beware the Nameless

Where It Fits: Beware the Nameless takes place after the events of Temptation of the Force. In the past, middle-grade books have generally expanded The High Republic's depth while standing on their own. Phase III, however, has flowed seamlessly between each story so far and connected more than the first two phases.

Publisher’s Summary: “When the people of an embattled world plead for help with the Nihil threat, a team of both Republic Defense Coalition members and Jedi — including Ram Jomaram — is sent to their aid.

The team soon discovers that their ship contains four stowaways — Jedi younglings Kildo, TepTep, and Jamil, and Zenny Greylark, a senator’s daughter determined to find her sister. When a distress call comes in from a nearby planet, Jedi Master Adi-Li Carro agrees to take the stowaways to investigate. There, they will encounter a young Hutt on a mission, a stranger with mysterious motives, and the creatures they fear the most.”

The Author: Zoraida CĂłrdova returns to the Star Wars universe after writing the short story “The Queen’s Bloom” in the High Republic anthology Tales of Light and Life. Her prior works also include A Crash of Fate and Convergence.

What’s Next: Up next for the High Republic is the young adult novel by George Mann, Tears of the NamelessThe middle-grade series will continue with the planned release of Justina Ireland’s Star Wars The High Republic: A Variant Vow, scheduled to be on our shelves on May 6, 2025.

We’re all fine here now - how are you? This is a fantastic series of books with awesome characters and breathtaking action getting close to the end. We have all the ins and outs covered. Just check out our High Republic HQ for guides and more.
